Migrating to DW, dropping on LJ
I have migrated my LJ over to Dreamwidth, and make my posts over there, which then echo back here. I recommend that all my LJ followers also migrate over to DW. As I discover LJ followers that have also migrated over to DW, I will drop the "friend connection" on LJ. Do not drama over getting dropped.

And again, do migrate over to DW.

Aww, everyone's leaving! If not for DW then for Facebook or Twitter or something else. Takes me two hours a day as it is to catch up with what everyone's doing, because they all keep going away and doing it elsewhere. I wish everyone would go to Dreamwidth, if they wanted to be somewhere else.

I went to Facebook for a while, then I dumped it and came back here. Twitter I never even considered; I don't understand the appeal and it seems a waste of time that makes Facebook look considered and reasonable.

Unfortunately I have a fancy permanent account paid-up-forever here at LJ. Not dropping that for a basic account or, worse, a pay more money account at DW.

I do have a backup account on DW, but I've never actually posted there, I don't think, except maybe to just verify it works. I'm not even sure I remember the password.

None taken. I will mention, however, that while I do have a DW account, I am not really using it except to comment on posts made by people who have migrated there. My content, what little of it there is, is still being posted to my LJ.

Yeah, same here. I do back up my LJ to DW, and may eventually fully switch.

That means to me that you're not reading me here.

Not true. I use a script that pulls in my LJ friend view, and turns it into a "real" syndication feed, and then I read that thru my regular blog reader.

I suppose that might work on friend's=locked posts... But can you comment back? After the last exodus to InsaneJournal, a few friends lost access that way. But because there were so few who went, only one stayed.
