"The future is NOW!" "Um, not quite yet." "WHAT?!"

Apparently, the way to get publicity is to stir controversy.

And, the way to stir controversy is to speak against the conventional wisdom.

However, the technology chatterati are so in lust with "the future" that speaking in favor of aspects of technology conventional wisdom IS speaking against the conventional wisdom.

When revolutionary radicalism has become the conservative position, conservatism becomes the radical position.
