Idea. Arduino + RFID reader + wallet = location update

I want to learn how to program Arduino just for this project idea

Take an Arduino board with modules for either ethernet or wifi, and a module to read passive RFIDs.

Program it so that when someone slaps their open wallet against it, it finds the RFIDs in their transit passes, credit cards, employee ID cards, etc. It then looks the user up in a database, and updates their location in foursquare, brightkite, fireeagle, etc.

Has this already been done?
