I just accidentally deleted a week's work.

Fortunately, it's taking only a couple of hours to recreate.

Still, lesson learned, push work-in-progress up to Launchpad at least daily.

A couple of weeks ago, I typo'd during a release.

The typo was adding a /

Making usr/* /usr/*.

On the build system.

Boy, was MY face red.

I've done something similar, with rm -rf.

Since then, I have NEVER named a directory etc/ (Hey, I'd been storing random stuff, I figured ~/etc was cute).

Did you know that rm -rf /etc will indeed complete, but after that, the system is *completely* unusable? (do you know how frustrating it is to *try* different commands to see if maybe, just maybe, there's a way to salvage things???)
