Finally Home (Almost)
I have developed a tradition when I get home. I don't have the taxi drop me off actaully at my house. Instead I stop a few blocks short, at the Hopvine, for a drink and a meal. Right now I'm enjoying the drink, and soon I will be enjoying the meal.

(In fact, it was just put down on my table. Handmade mushroom soup, and seasonal salad. Yum!)

I'm thinking of going to the Little Red Studio "Holiday Bizarre". That could be fun, it's been far too long since I've been at the LRS.

Home for 4 days, then off again for 3.

I spent the flight reading "The Definative Guide to Django", which I bought from Xapab's book table several weekends ago. I have some ideas for some DJango apps I want to build. Of course, given my context, I read the sections on how it abstracts the datbase layer, and I can't help wonder how good of SQL it generates...

"Handmade" is an odd term to be applied to a soup. Is that supposed to be a restaurant's version of "homemade", when the restaurant isn't a "home"?

Also, I have very little faith in the SQL code that ORM's generate. However, I'd be interested to know reality in this case.

That's why I didn't say "homemade".

Their soups are made from ingredients, not from a can.
