My car, it gleams!
So I've been meaning for some time to get my car in for it's regular maintenance, and also to have it cleaned. It's been years since it had a solid cleaning, and currently I park it under a tree.

Plants were starting to grow out of the dirt that had accumulated around the windows and on the floor. No kidding.

A friend of mine is currently between jobs, so today I paid her to drive it to the dealer, for the oil change and detail work. And, as it turns out, brake pad replacement.

Now my car is shiny again, it gleams.

I'm getting more convinced about the concept of "outsource your life".

There is value in having things the way you like them, when you want them.

laundry service.

there's a place by me that's $1 per pound, if you drop it off and pick it up. If you want them to pick it up from your house, add $3. If you want them to deliver it to your house, add $3.

Tony and I generate 23 pounds of laundry in 2 weeks. I drop the laundry off and happily pay $26 to have the laundry sitting waiting for me when I get home. On Monday I dropped it off around 9 am and it was delivered at 6 pm.

Best. Use. Of. Money. Ever. Way better not to have stress over who is doing the laundry.

Now, there are some things I like to do myself. Clean my house, for instance -- both the neatening and the physical cleaning. Outsourcing my laundry is less of an "I'm above it" superiority thing and more of a "Tony and I hate doing it" thing.

And seriously....for $50 a month, I get "Calgon, take me away!" instead of a fight about laundry.
