How do I open this...
I havn't shaved since last Sunday, when I was packing, and discovered I was out of razor heads. But I didn't want to look half-wild at the dinner tonight.

I just bought a Gillette "shaver set" at the grocery store, that has a razor handle, razor head, and little bottle of gel, all bundled together in a plastic camshell container.

Here's the problem... I can't get it open!

I have purchased more than one pair of $1 children's scissors to get knives and other such things out of those containers.

i have been known to melt the plastic using a car lighter so I could tear it.

i have also been known to stab them repeatedly with a sharp knife.

i feel REALLY dumb though, if I go all crazy trying to get it open, and then i realize there is a very small almost invisible perforated area on the back.

I'm so glad it's not just me.

My husband actually took a chisel to one of those things the other night.

This must be a very hard world for people with arthritis in their hands.

I've used aviation snips. But what worked really well for me today to get my xD card out of the package was one of those envelope slicing widgets.

The ones with the little gap with the razor blade embedded in it.

Opening clamshell cases and suchlike

Reason #97 1/2 to have a swiss army knife or a leatherman. Remember to put it in your check-in luggage when you travel, not in your pocket or computer bag. (I once had to hand a nice pocket knife over to security at an airport when I forgot to take it off my keychain before check-in time.)
