Dear Lazyweb: Mad Scientist Coat.
Where would be a good place to get a Mad Scientist's smock or overcoat? Especially for purchase instead of rent, acceptable costume quality, not costing a kilobuck?

If instead you're looing for a plain white lab coat, I don't know. Try a local uniform store that sells to doctors and nurses?

Lab Coats

Target sells standard lab coats for less than $20, if that's what you have in mind.

Re: Lab Coats

Whoops, just noticed "women's" in the fine print. Here's the men's model:

Same price.

If you are in a hurry, find a uniform shop that carries medical uniforms, they'll have some. If you have plenty of time, and want to save money, ebay.

I'd hit a uniform supply store or three, nearer to medical center the better. Selection varies a lot, as do sizes, so calling first is best way to make sure they may have what you want/need.

If I piqued your interest about brewing beer, it's really not necessary..... :-)

BTW, I plan to start a batch today.

The University Bookstore has lab coats in the downstairs supply area for about $20.
