It could have been a good movie, which is one of the worst things I can say about a movie.
Morgan Freeman did a perfect job. I liked his portrayal of God far better than the George Burns version.
Jim Carrey, on the other hand, once again does a great job when he's being a "straight man", and once again made me cringe when he was being "Jim Carrey Being Crazy". The only role that "Jim Carrey Being Crazy" worked really well in was in The Mask (and it fit perfectly there), but in this case, it just... didn't. Some scenes here would have fit much better in portrayal and tone in that movie than in this. He really needs a director to butt heads with him and say "Jim, too much Jim Carrey is worse than too little, so tone it down".
Which makes me sad, because, as I said, this could have been so much better.
Wait for the video, and don't pay too much for it.
