Review: Seattle Sculptural Park
It's a beautifully groomed park, with a great location and a wonderful view of the Sound. Unfortunately, someone has dumped some ugly piles of concrete and steel randomly on it.

Public Art is one hell of a racket. I wish I knew how to get in on it.

Speaking of which, does anyone know what became of the Seattle steel monolith of 2001?

Has there been a mysterious rise in tapir deaths or anything?

Come on, that's the best ginormous feathered pizza-cutter I've ever seen!

It isn't a pizza cutter with feathers... it is an old-fashioned typewriter eraser. *sheesh* Where is your HISTORY? This isn't modern art, it is an homage to the days of yor.

Ha! I used one of those as a turban decoration once. Doesn't it look like the decorative thingie on the front of a turban, if you put the brush end up?

Typewriter erasers, now there's an obsolete item if ever there was one. Right up there with 8-track tapes.

Oddly enough, I can still get ribbons for my 1980 vintage Apple Imagewriter printer at OfficeMax. But I can't find toner carts for my 1998 Apple Laserwriter 12/640 anywhere.

Go figure.

Then why did I see someone cutting a ginormous feathered pizza with it?

Oh dear Colin, don't get me started. They installed the most GHODawful grotesqueries right along the main drag downtown last year, some of them look like they were made by a drunken kindergarten class. Make that most of them.
