I was coming home from Seattle late last night, and I was hungry, and I didn't want to face either cooking or microwave food. So I pulled up to the Kirkland Wendy's drive-through window.

It's been over 3 months since I had a fast food burger.

All that grease, all that salt.

I guess it's an aquired taste, and I have unaquired it.

Good for you, Mark. Making your own burgers is so much better anyway. When our family started leaving the salt shaker off the dinner table, we soon began complaining of the saltiness of packaged foods and restaurant meals.

Familial burgers

We had homemade grilled hamburgers out on the deck for lunch. Mmmm...homemade grilled burgers...

ALMOST as good as the grilled salmon we had on Sunday.

omahas made that observation at our home a few months ago. We've unlearned how to eat fast food for the most part, and we don't use a lot of salt in our diet either, so mainstream, prepackaged fare tastes... weird.

It's a good thing Seattle streetfairs like the UDistrict one or Folklife have such odd shops, like Sidewalk Sushi and The MAN. If I had to eat ordinary stuff, I suspect I'd rather go hungry.
