A standard sized single layer DVD-R disk has 2,295,104 sectors, 2048 bytes per sector. So your stack of 100 blanks will store 437.7500 GiB. That's under half of one TiB

That's just amazing when you think about it. Ten or 15 years ago, a single CD-R would run you $10, and now, you can buy a Terabyte of storage for $50, at Wal*Mart if you like.
