I finally forced myself up and out, and went into town. jezel suggested we find a Honda dealer and test drive an Element for fun. But I decided I really didn't want to deal with a car salesman at all, and instead we discovered that the AMC downtown was showing the original "The Matrix". Since I've got tickets to the "The Matrix Reloaded" this coming Thursday, I figured it would be good to refresh myself.
The most annoying thing about the movie is all the little things they did wrong that could have been done so much better. Given the reality manipulation and "tool import" skills the resistance already had demonstrated, there so many better ways to assault the building than the cartwheel attack down the main lobby. And the battery thing still hurts my brain to hear it said, that the humans are used for computational substrate makes so much more sense on so many levels.
But it was still pretty.
There was an email waiting for me from my mother, thanking me for this year's Mother's Day rose bush.
To my friends and other family who are also mothers, happy Mother's Day to you as well.
