Awesome. I don't know that title; is it more SF or more Singularity? I have a paperback with True Names that I treasure in my cyberpunk stacks.

Is that a sequel to A Deepness in the Sky?

No. Amazon is on crack when they say it's a Zones of Thought book. It is the novel that this short story published in IEEE Spectrum is a chapter of.

Also, according to Amazon, it won't be published until May.

Correct.

However, it will be available on Baen's Webscriptions in a few weeks.

What I have here is not the actual published book, but an ARC (Advance Reader Copy), basically a binding of the final proofs that get printed and sent to reviewers and "buzz generators", so as to get cover blurbs, buzz, and convience bookstores and distributors to order boxes of it.

Two quick questions:

1) Why on earth would it be on Baen webscriptions? It's a bloody Tor book
2) Who did you blow to get an ARC of that? My VHPS rep didn't get *any* copies, and he's usually got a pretty good number of arcs for most everything lying about.

1) Haven't you heard? The BIG NEWS in SF publishing is that Tor has joined Webscriptions.

2) I bought it on eBay.
