To answer some wonderings, she was euthanized in my hands, after we spent a last hour together, instead of dying alone in a kennel cage. She knew who I was the whole time. She could lift her head and could try to walk when I first got to the vet, but was fading fast, and soon she was too weak to do even that.
I'm bringing her body back to Seattle, where it will be cremated, and placed next to the ashes of her sister.
I'm leaving Utah tomorrow morning to make the drive home.
