Quick impressions of NorWesCon 26

It was fun, much fun.

Hung out a lot with friends. Just about everybody I know in Seattle for reasons other than work, I at least bumped into.

Went to some really good panels, sometimes had a hard time deciding between two panels running at the same time, there didn't seem to be any actually really bad panels.

Good food in Hospitality, even tho whenever there was meat, they were usually out of cheese, or vice versa. Mostly I drank the bottled water and ate the oranges.

Wonderful slide show by GoH Michael Whelan.

Good art show. Loved the Japanese watercolor pieces the best, but didn't bid as I don't much enjoy the actual auction phase anymore.

Dancing, and more dancing. One of the good things about getting in shape, is that it was the need for sleep rather than physical wearyness that pulled me off the dance floor. This was the last NWC for the main DJ guy who's been doing it for 20 years.

Nice dealer's den. Didn't buy much. Was lusting at a pair of handmade gloves, but the fingers were a bit to short. I think that if I ever get a pair of gloves that fit, it will be because I commissioned them. Someday, when I have more disposable money.

Some funness at the Masquerade. My 3yo friend Kouryou-chan dressed up with her mother omahas as a pair bellydancers, and was very cute.

Lots of really good hall costumes. Much exposed healthy nubile skin, of both genders. Can't complain about that.

I'm now conned out, at least for a few days...
