The next day afternoon, I spent a couple of hours back at Conifur, making a pass thru the dealer's den and thru the art show. Much more of the same old stuff, and some good stuff. My only purchase was issue #2 of the printed version of Jack. (The creator/writer/artist, David Hopkins, is a local, and was the GoH for the con.)
Then I drove to East Bend, to spend the evening at Tabara for the Ace&Eric farewell party. Another great party, lots of fun time spent with piles of friendly people all over the soft furniture, and time in the hot tub. Plus I got to pet their horse and meet their barn kittens.

I can see why the "party lifestyle" is addictive, for the class of people who can afford it, and have the youth to tolerate it. I had a great time, but I don't think I would have the stamina to do it every day, or even every weekend.
