Pants. Cats. And a question...

I posted a few weeks ago about buying a new pile of jeans. I found (by typing "bulk jeans" into Google, and working my way down the ads) a supplier, and my order arrived today. (Monday, actually, but UPS left them at the property manager's office yesterday.) Six pairs of black 501s. The MSRP plus local sales tax would have been USD300.28. I paid, including shipping, USD189.84. They should last me several years.

My three cats went to the vet yesterday. That cost more than twice what the jeans did. Dr Pittari called me with the lab results today. Birki has a serious UTI, to the point of having visible rods in her urine. The little monster, she is not good at telling me when she feels poorly. Bayril every day, 5.7mg of Bayril daily for 30 days, and push the LRS into her every day, no days off, and a return appointment in a week. Kiddi has an elevated white blood count (probably periodontal disease), and the the labwork shows signs of early FRS. For her, also, Baytril and LRS. Sasha's labwork show that she will be able to tolerate prednisolone, so back onto it she goes.

A Con, a GOH, a Book, and a Question

This upcoming weekend is Foolscap Con. The GOH is Harlan Ellison. I have a copy of Again Dangerous Visions I'm borrowing from judyg. With her permission, I could bring it to the con for him to sign. But, here is my question. Is it a good idea? He's notoriously prickly, especially about the never-finished DV anthology series.

Exactly. Adopting a Soup Nazi posture may help. Everything I've read says prickly is the least of your worries.

And, hey, having Harlan Ellison tell you to fuck off and die is good story material for years thereafter.
