A couple of years ago, my sister jatg lived for a year or so in a really cheap apt here in Seattle. The reason why the place was so cheap was that the property was owned by the Seattle Public Library, and was going to be demolished and rebuilt as a new library branch, as soon as room in the capital budget could be found.

Well, I guess they found the money, because yesterday while I was driving by it, the buildings were gone, and now it's just a hole in the ground.
