Reading the article in its entirety - I would agree with the points made. If they've been recounted three times, and the same person has prevailed in each recount, even by such a small margin - it is time to get over it and move on. If they have to start bringing in probability and shit, they're reaching and it stinks of sour grapes.

Concede and start planning for the next election. Stop wasting taxpayer time and money.

Ah, OK, the article left me with the impression that the counts all favored the same person.

Yeah, that sounds like pushing until you get the result you want. And if different counties used different standards, the recount should've been disqualified, IMHO.

The LAW here in Washington is that if the bad and miscounted ballots exceed the margin of error, the election is to be redone.

I/We are not asking for anything new, I/We are not asking to seat the R candidate on a judge's say-so. What I want is the law as it is written to be followed, and what the law says is that if we're in this situation, we get another go-around immediately.

That sounds reasonable - should've been done before now it seems. By the time this is settled it'll probably be 6+ months into the term. Sounds like everyone loses.

Can you cite the law that says that?
