The Metaphorist co-house has, next to the walkway to the main entrance, a hive of mining bees that have recently moved in.

I'm trying to ignore them, as they are (mostly) ignoring me.

But it's hard to not to want to put a mason jar full of Seven powder over their entrances.

I must not love Nature enough.

My Karate teacher took a blow Torch to a hive on his house once..he wore full Riot gear he is a police officer. His wife held a hose at the bottom of the ladder just in case. He had the torch and started to burn it..then his wife says there is one more just above his head so he lets go of the ladder for a sec to look up and get the other one and then realizes he not holding on and falling..He throws the torch behind him and his wife who does not know what is going on sprays him with the hoses as he falls to the ground tucking and rolling as he fall he lands on his feet all wet and sunk in to the ground. He thinks he ok..a hour later his back is out and he can not move..lol Teach him to mess with Mother Nature..lol

I don't love nature enough when it comes into my house. Or nests on it - like hornets like to.
