(warning, disgusting)

I woke up this morning with the "last gasp" of my cold sitting in one side of one sinus, and draining down my throat, which was irritating it under burning. Flipping sides caused it to slowly ooze into a different sinus, but no actual relief.

This caused a memory cascade of a friend enthusing about "Neti Pot" for this very problem, which prompted me to start googling a bit, which deluged me with medical adverts, bits of case studies, warning about innocently added bad additives killing sinus cilia, glowing recommendations, pitches for expensive pulsing irrigators, et al.

I just want a convienient sterile painfree singleserving sinus wash I can buy off-the-shelf at Walgreens, but that seems too much to ask...

What I use...

http://www.simplysaline.com/

At least here in SoCal it is available at Sav-on. Not single usage, but not too expensive either.

While I don't know if you can get any of these near you, I've used Saltaire and it's wonderful. They also sell glass nasal bulbs you can fill and then dump into you sinus to wash them out. They're a bit tricker, but work decently well.
