Wednesday. A series of unrelated events.
Finally, after moving everybody out at the end of October, my old place is being demolished. When I drove by this morning, the building to the north was a heap of rubble, being slowly hauled away in trucks (and messing up traffic). I expect that when I drive by tomorrow, the building I had lived in will be gone as well.

A bug just got dumped on me at work. I suspect it's going to turn out to be a combination of "that cant ever work" and "our SNMP agent is too flaky even if it could", but I wrangled shell access on enough machines on the network pipeline to chase it down. The portal group, the network group, the client group, and the QA group have been suspecting that the problem is with the other three.

Lots of rushing around for my Wednesday afternoon errands. Rain-X for the car (at the strong recommendation of both intrepid_reason and Kevin Kelly. Some bolts and hardware to replace some put-it-back-together pieces that disappeared in the move. Banking. Shopping. Running around.

Got an excited call from jezel. She is now no longer "unemployed" but instead "hired, with a couple of weeks of free time to enjoy". Good for her. We met at the new greek deli in Greenwood that I discovered last week, "Olive You" (pained laugh), for a quick bite right before my lesson.

At the piano lesson, we talked about last Sunday's salon, did some more B-minor scale (which is tripping my fingers up still), and then two new pieces. A minuet by Mozart, and a small fantasy by Bartók.

After that, I met up with a friend. We had a nice soak, and then decided to watch Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events What a *lovely* dark yet encouraging film. Beautiful people, lush costumes and sets. Frantic but well paced story. Now I'm going to have to read the books...

RE Rain-X, I'm glad you're using this. I need to redo mine.

I'm really happy Toby found work.{:o)
