A bug just got dumped on me at work. I suspect it's going to turn out to be a combination of "that cant ever work" and "our SNMP agent is too flaky even if it could", but I wrangled shell access on enough machines on the network pipeline to chase it down. The portal group, the network group, the client group, and the QA group have been suspecting that the problem is with the other three.

At the piano lesson, we talked about last Sunday's salon, did some more B-minor scale (which is tripping my fingers up still), and then two new pieces. A minuet by Mozart, and a small fantasy by Bartók.
After that, I met up with a friend. We had a nice soak, and then decided to watch Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events What a *lovely* dark yet encouraging film. Beautiful people, lush costumes and sets. Frantic but well paced story. Now I'm going to have to read the books...
