Hey Mark,

How do you like NetFlix altogether? I just found a similar thing for Canada (zip.ca) which has a bazillion titles and what I think is a fairly good membership price. I've been frustrated so many times wandering through Blockbuster and Jumbo looking for a title they don't have, that I'm really considering this. Like to know what you think of it, pros and cons etc.

I like it a lot. I had kept a list of "movies to see sometime", but I could never remember what was on it when someone said "let's go rent a movie", and going and renting a movie actually involved driving to the video store. So I never saw them.

Now I'm seeing them.

The upside is, there is always some movies sitting there waiting to be watched.

The downside is, there is always some movies sitting there waiting to be watched.

If you dont watch anything for a while, you still pay. Downside.

You can fix the amount you pay for movie rentals as a fixed amount in your budget. Upside.

There are a bazillion titles, and there is lots of stuff that are hard to impossible to find at a BlockBuster. This is called The Long Tail, and it's pretty cool. Small films. Indies. Documentaries. Imports. etc. Upside.

I consider it worth it, especially if watching movie rentals is something you already do on a regular or semi-regular basis.
