I've been sleep-short'ing myself all week, and it came to a head last night.
I went out on a regular monthly event with a friend, and was fine, but I wasn't safe driving home, and didn't realize how unsafe I was until about halfway there. There is road construction on I-405 thru Bellevue, and they close lanes late at night. I blinked "for just a moment", and suddenly there was a traffic barrell right in front of me. A yank, a squeal of the tires, and the seat belt pinning me into my seat, and I avoided it.
Pulled off, calmed down, and carefully drove home, with the windows rolled down, the A/C running, and the radio playing bouncy dance music very loud. Got home, set down on the bed to get ready to get into it, and fell asleep before I even undressed.
Kiddi went to the vet today. She has some sort of ulcer on one paw, and some hard horny growth on another. Her regular vet was out of town, but I wanted that ulcer dealt with quickly. Turns out it's probably some sort of immunity disorder, and will probably need pregnizone. But for the time being, I resume her steroid creme, and give her antibiotic for the secondary (and stinky) infection.
After bringing her back from the vet, I emailed into work saying I wasnt coming in today, and then fell back asleep for a while.
One more nap, and I should be fine.
There is nothing to munch on in my apartment.
