Gym. Back & Tricep. What the **** is wrong with my knee?!
Steve had 3 ten session contracts ready for me to sign when I arrive. This is pretty stupid on the part of 24HrFit, their 10 session contracts are cheaper per session then the 18 or 24 session contracts. For that matter, it's pretty stupid that the contracts come in fixed "sizes". I *should* just be able to "fill in the blank" for the number, and generate one contract, that will automatically renew with my approval each time.

As it was, I had to sign 3 contract forms, 3 session tracking forms, and one credit card slip. They've at least improved that, the first time I did this, I had to sign a credit card slip for each one as well.

Anyway...

The leg is still bad. The hip has been getting better, but still not 100%. The knee on the other hand... more on that in a moment.

The Elliptical Crosstrainer is out for warming up, so I did a hundred of the Inclined Bench Crunch instead.

Then we got going. Machine Pullup cycled with Machine Dip. New weight record on those. Seated Cybex Machine Row. Same weight as last time, but finished instead of failed. Low Back Raise cycled with Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press. The shoulder press felt a little light, so for the very last set, we moved over to a seat that would support my back, and added 5lb per hand. Hammer Frame Iso High Row. Then Standing Dumbbell Lat Raise.

While I was resting after the first set of that, my knee suddenly went OUCH. I sat down, and felt it out. There is a little tiny spot of "loose" "stuff" floating right in front of my kneecap, that if I touch it, HURTS. Weird. Is this something really Bad? Should I be Concerned? I wasn't doing anything with my knee at all!

I finished the next two sets seated instead of standing. That makes them a little harder, and I couldn't finish the last rep.

Seated Dumbbell Tricep Press (aka the "seated skullcrusher", from what happens if you drop the weight) cycled with Cable Tricep Pulldown.

It was ten minutes to the end of the hour, but I was cooked.

Knee

The treatment for the time being should be R for rest, I for ice, C for compress and E for elevate. See if that helps some. I have found that when one part of the leg doesn't work properly the other muscles take over and you hurt in unusual places. For example my knee didn't hurt, my leg above the knee hurt the most. There are some sites about knees that I checked out.

Four star knees...

Hi. Without introductions, pleased to meet you.

I agree with JATG: Doctor. Now. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 (take $200 with for the co-pay :-) )

Knees do not normally have little bits of stuff floating in front of them that HURT.

Sometimes systems, including knees, fail or become fragile just after stress is released. It happened right after intense exercise. Skimming your journal, I note you've been doing lots of intense, stress-full exercies. Consider a relationship under stress and the people involved pull together until the stress is released. Bodies are part of the same universe.

Please. Go. Find. Out.
