Hotels and Internet

Every other part of a high end hotel, they work so hard to make everything a guest deals with be perfect.

But internet access, why is it always such poor quality?

If the hot water was like this, I would have to be pay a different daily bill to a the plumbing contractor, sign an agreement to not misuse the heat, it would take an hour to start flowing, it would be hammering the pipes, in inconsistant pressure and temperature, and it would be rusty and unsafe to drink.
