idea for airlines, when a flight is cancelled

standing here waiting in line because aa2001 yyz ord just got cancelled because of mechanical problem.

When a flight cancels at the gate, put up a phone number so we the passengers can rebook in parallel thru the phone CSRs, instead standing in line wasting time, missing flights, blocking the corridor, bottlenecked on two overworked gate agents.

on rebooking at airports

So it turns out that you *can* rebook via calling the telephone csr line, and you don't even have to have elite flyer status.

One note, when the phone csr rebooks you on a flight, *also* have them assign you a seat. (that this is a seperate step is assinine)

On travel agents, I use them so rarely, I forgot completely that I have one for this trip.
