Yesterday afternoon at work, I was pretty much non-productive. When I got home, I thought about my todo list, and just sat on my couch and did nothing. (Not even watch TV.) And this morning, I just couldn't face going to work. I have zero energy. This feels like being sick, only with no other symptoms than just having no energy and no desire. At least there is not a black mood going with it.
My ReplayTV has stopped working. It died sometime early this morning, and now it just sits, chitters its disk hard, and says "please wait" on the display. Word is going around that they've pushed out a software update, and it broke a lot of units, but instead of admitting it, they are requiring the purchase of 99 dollar refurb replacements. This is not acceptable.
The Noodler Ink looks really good on a sheet of high quality paper. The next tests will be to bleachtest that paper, and also to load it into a pair of Vectors and try a feathering test on some junk paper.
My camera is broken, it seems. I discovered this last Sunday, when I tried to take pictures at the protest. Damn. So now I need to seek for a replacement.
My Kodak DX-3600 had some features I really liked, specifically, it took CompactFlash formfactor memory, it took AA formfactor batteries, and it had a optical zoom and optical macro. I didn't care for the plastic body and the wasteful size (most of the interior is just empty place, instead of making it as small as possible.)
It looks like most cameras now want to use one of the more expensive more proprietary memory formats, and to use their own proprietary batteries.
