My birthday quilt is right now hanging (quilted size down, bottom side up) on the line right behind me, drying in this amazingly nice weather. A box of baking soda, a bottle of pure almond extract, and a cold gentle cycle in a front loader washer zapped out the smell the detergent and fabric softener.

Since I've been inside entirely too much, and the weather is obscenely nice, and yet I have some paperwork to do, I've set up one of my camping chairs outside, and set up an extension cord. The headphones almost but don't quite eliminate the traffic noise. I can see the attraction of living someplace where there are very few cars. (I am seriously turning into a curmudgeon, am wishing that the rules about bad mufflers would be enforced. And while I have several friends who ride motorcycles, damn but I hate "loud pipes".)

Oh cool. The current "Clean Sweep" episode, "A Toast to Organzation", is going to do a kitchen. They usually do master bedrooms, guestrooms, home offices, and occationally living/family rooms. But a kitchen, is a whole different class of problems...

In the world of "Century City", by 2030, there are 52 states, or at least, it would take 39 states to ratify a Constitutional Amendment. Also, the ERA finally based, after 60 years of trying. That would be, um, what year?
