It still hurts to swallow, and I'm still stiff and sore. It is unknown, how much the stiff and sore is from the accident, and how much is from this infection. As a small blessing, my nose and lungs are clear. If I was coughing or sneezing around this tender and swollen tonsil, I think I would be begging for Really Good narcotics.
I canceled gym again today this morning, then rolled up into my covers and went back to sleep for a few hours, finally making it in to work at about 11am. I'm very lucky that I have an employer who is flexible about this sort of thing.
It is a gloriously nice day outside. Bright blue sky. Warm air. Chipping birds. I am wishing there were some sun awnings (LCDs are illegible in sunlight) and some outdoor power outlets, I'd love to take my computing environment outside and work while reclining in the grass. I have some decently nice folding outdoor chairs... which, come to think of it, are in the back of the Forester. Sigh.
Talked to GEICO. It's been towed from where it was put Thursday night, to GEICO's preferred local towyard, and has a local adjuster assigned to it. The GEIGO rep recommended I call him around noon tomorrow if he doesn't call me first.
The Armed Republic of Administrality "The servant rules, so that the ruled need not serve." UN Category: Libertarian Police State Civil Rights: Superb Economy: Very Strong Political Freedoms: Few
The Armed Republic of Administrality is a huge, socially progressive nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 283 million are proud of their wide-ranging civil freedoms, and those who aren't tend to be dragged off the streets by men in dark suits and hustled into cars with tinted windows.
