Five questions, from zzbottom

1. What do you miss most about living in Boston and would you ever consider moving back?

That's two questions!

I miss my friends there.

It would have to be one hell of a good job offer.

2. If you ever lost your ability to do anything with computers whatsoever (think cancer of your computer gene), what would you do for a living?

I don't know. Hmm.. Maybe either generic white collar office work, just to pay bills. Or perhaps go learn some skilled trade, and do that. The problem is, that white collar work and tradework now are both heavily computerized.

I would be f**ked, and I'm not likely to be able to make that pay either.

3. What causes you the most anxiety in your day-to-day life?

"Am I good enough at what I do? Am I burning out? Why can't I stick to my tasks? I hate being lonely. I wish my cats were not sick. I wish my friends were not sick. I wish I had more money." Repeat constantly.

4. Have you ever done anything that you're ashamed of? (details or not at your discretion)

Too often.

I'm ashamed and embarrased when I do or say something thoughtless, or that comes out thoughtless, which I do too often.

5. Would you ever be interested in marrying again?

I do not know. I'm not interested right now. I will surely change in many ways as time passes.

(no subject)

Gym. Session 119 of 124. Chest and Biceps. And I hit them hard. I'm still much sore across my pectorals. I wish they would look as good as as sore as they feel.

Work. Got a fun new interesting task to knock down next week. Putting a loopback filesystem in our box for storing photos and such (since Bad Things happen to filesystem timing coherency when we try to mix small still photos and big huge streaming video files in the same filesystem).

After work, I went down to Burien to share some time and some dinner with elfs and omahas, and with Kouryou-chan and Yamarashi-chan. Homemade chili on the stove, and Teen Titans on the laptop.

Stopped at work on the way home to see if I was fifty million dollars richer. (I had bought a MultiMillions ticket on a lark, when I saw that they were well bast 250 million.) It was fun to have bought the right to dream for a day. I didn't win. But I wouldn't say here if I had. ;)

Slept in. Got none of what I wanted to do in the morning done. Had lots and lots of very intense dreams.

At about 3pm, headed down to j5nn5r's party. I go there often enough to kind of know the way, and rarely enough I have to MapQuest it every time.

On the way, my dad called me, and not apparently with any news, or questions, but just to chat for a moment. This is unprecedented.

The party was fun. Lots of people there from Wet Leather, his motorcycle group, showing off their bikes, some new bikes, and a guy there who owns a business making custom bikes. Food was yummy, people were nice, and the hottub was a wonderfully fun kettle of back and foot rubs. I need more practice at those, to get better at it.
