The Smell, more piano music, leather clothes

The dealer couldn't figure out where The Smell is coming from. They cleaned out and sprayed out all the ductwork, and changed all the air filters. They recommended that I leave my ozone generator in it overnight (very long extension cord), and if that doesn't zap keep, have a detailer run a "deep extraction" over the flooring and seats.

I got out of the dealer at the stroke of 5pm, so I got to fight the commuter rush hour traffic over the 520 floating bridge. I hate doing that.

But I did make it to piano lesson on time. I have two brand new pieces to work on. Menuet en Roneau by Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Symphony No. 1, Theme from the 4th Movement by Johanne Brahms. (Mr Henry does not Do "Teaching Little Fingers To Play", especially not with his adult students.)

After that I made my way up to CapHill. On the way, I noticed that I had missed a call from JudyG (I leave the phone off or in the car when I'm in lesson), so I called her back. She had just called to touch base, and let me know that the delivery she had attended last week had gone well. Signal is bad in CapHill, so we got cut off just as we were saying goodbye. I love chatting with her.

I went to the Crypt to pick up my new pants (this was the reason I was in CapHill). While I was there, I just had to try on that really hot outfit again, and take a picture of it. All the pants of that style in my size were gone from the rack, but they did have a pair in the back. I put them on, one of the floor clerks took the picture (not downloaded from the camera yet (I need my laptop for that)). And as I was taking it off, I noticed why those pants were in the back. They were damaged, torn belt loop, and labeled "as is, 25%".

So I went up to the counter and pointed out that these were damaged and so marked down, they were having a "anything marked down is marked down some more" sale, AND they were having a "35% off leather pants" sale. A small amount of dickering, and I ended up buying the outfit I had wanted for about the price of the plain pants I had settled for.

I have my outfit!

I don't know if I want to wear it at the Merc, smoke in my leather...

I'm back up at work, to try to fix a problem with the censored tree blowing up.
