I dragged my ass out of bed at 5:30am, and was pedaling pretty much at the stroke of six. There was frost this morning, the first I've seen this season. Which wouldn't have been so bad, except that to save time, I had dressed in my workout gear at home, and so walked to the car, drove to the gym, and walked into the gym wearing just a T and shorts. I was tempted to grumble about it, but told myself "This isn't cold. I've lived in Utah and in Alaska. That was cold."
And then I really didn't have cause to complain when I saw on the local news on the overhead TVs the couple of feet of heavy wet snowfall hitting Puyallup and inland.
I cranked the EC's resistance up a notch from my lazy warmup resistance, settled in for an hour, sucked down 3l of H2O, and disappeared into the headspace of "VNV Nation" mp3's. The familiar red flush kicked in about 10 minutes in. Burn, you damn little fat cells, burn.
So today's stats: 215.0lb, 23%fat. 795cal, 117bpm, 1.98miles.
