Cost of framing artwork
I just took a tube of posters and a stack of fine photographic prints to get mounted, matted, and framed, as appropriate. I took them to a place recommended to me as being affordable and yet still good.

Yow. "Affordable" still seems to be awfully expensive.

In retrospect, I wonder if I would have been as well served and more frugal to find some crafter or art student, and paid them half as much in cash.

Still, it's going to be nice to have the 2010, 2009, and 2008 Burning Man ticket artwork hanging as a series going up the main stairwell in my home.

Framing is prohibitively expensive, in my estimation. I have far more time than money, so I make do with my own devices.

A lot of craft stores will have discarded mats that were miscut for the purposes they needed. Cheap.
